You can feel the room is changing
There's a movement in the sky
Lookout, lookout
Moonlight baby
Throw your clothes back in their boxes
Lift the tables on their sides
Lookout, lookout
Moonlight baby
There was a time, there was a time
I remember so well, I remember so well
When you were mine, when you were mine
Now I only wish you well, now I only wish you well
All the rules you used to follow
Are disappearing one by one
And all the roads we used to travel
Are slowly melting in the sun
Lookout, lookout
Moonlight baby
Lookout, lookout
Moonlight baby
It was you
It was always you
Everybody has a light
Everybody has a light
It was you
It was always you
Every time I fell in love
Every time I fell in love
As far as indie albums in the 2010's and beyond go, this is one of the most cohesive and emotive albums I've experienced looking back on it and is Jay Som's best album tokyonoir
The latest from Sonny Smith's long-running San Francisco outfit is clever and very sweet and more than a little bit country. Bandcamp Album of the Day Aug 3, 2021
